MATT CADY
Contemporary Funk
Matt Cady is the
creator and choreographer for the dance group, Fanny Pak (MTV’s
“America’s Best Dance Crew”, season 2 & 7). With the success of the
show as his platform, Matt went on to choreograph in numerous areas of
the entertainment industry. Most recently, choreographing with Megan
Lawson on Madonna’s MDNA 2012 World Tour, directed by Rich and Tone
Talauega. Matt was also Associate Choreographer for Chonique Sneed +
Lisette Bustamante on both Ricky Martin’s World Tour and Britney Spears’
World Tour, 2011. Futhermore, he recently choreographed five numbers
for the Polish version of So You Think You Can Dance. He’s also
choreographed dance sequences for the movies Honey 2 and Birds of a
Feather, featuring Fanny Pak. Matt choreographed the music videos “Que
Veux Tu/Safari Disco Club” by Yelle, “Go Crazy” by Patricia Kazadi,
“Truly In Love” by Lil’ Mama, “The Sky Is Falling” by Gina Starbuck,
“China Doll” by Natalise, and a sequence in Toni Braxton’s “You Make My
Heart” video. He’s choreographed industrials for the companies Canon
and Hasbro Games and MetroPark, as well as live stage shows for artists
such as Shoshana Bean, Chonique Sneed, Ty, Natalise, and under the
direction of Brian Friedman, Lauren Hildebrandt. He’s also assisted
choreographed on the Nickelodeon kid’s television show “Hip Hop Harry”,
and has had his hand in show choir choreography working with John
Burroughs HS. His dancing credits include Fox’s “Mobbed”, Missy Elliot,
ABC Family’s “Life of an American Teenager”, Jessica Simpson, Finger 11,
Bellagio Hotel, and Erin Hamilton. Matt is a sought after dance
instructor and has taught on numerous dance conventions such as
Adrenaline Dance, Intrigue, Triple Threat, The In10sive, RISE, Monsters
Of Hip Hop and L.A. Dance Magic. In addition to traveling across the US
and the world teaching in such places as Tokyo, Moscow, Warsaw, Madrid,
Barcelona, London, Tropea and all over Canada, he also teaches in Los
Angeles at EDGE Performing Arts Center.
