KRAZY KUJO

Breakin'

Kujo’s Breaking classes are nothing like any other Breaking class you’ll find anywhere else! It’s a less traditional and more eclectic approach to the artform, incorporating elements from Modern Dance, Ballet, Capoeira, and Gymnastics, as well as differentiating between the various regional styles of Breaking (East & West Coasts, European).

No experience necessary Jacob “Kujo” Lyons has been Breaking for 15 years, and is committed to expanding the scope and vocabulary of the artform. He was first exploded onto the scene in the world-famous music video, “It’s Like That,” by Run DMC and remixed by Jason Nevins. He has since worked with some of Hip Hop’s biggest artists, such as Eminem, KRS-1, and Pharaoh Monche, and was the first American B-Boy to work with Cirque du Soleil.

He’s also a highly sought-after competition judge and frequently works with Battle of the Year and Red Bull (Lords of the Floor, BC One). Kujo now directs and choreographs his own dance company, Lux Aeterna, who recently stole the show at the Lester Horton Dance Awards.

Kujo is also directing and choreographing an evening-length dance theater show called “Breaking the Cypher,” premiering at Hollywood’s Ford Amphitheatre in October 2007.
