JIAN
Hip Hop
Born in Queens,
New York and coming from a mother who danced most of her life,
Jian’s destiny of becoming a dancer was only a matter of time. He
was taught at a young age the true ways of hip hop dance and its
culture, which included party dancing, popping, bboying and
freestyle. At the age of 14, he moved to Miami and this vibrant,
spicy environment gave Jian a different outlook on dancing. But it
wasn’t until the age of 16, after being inspired by a live
performance from Miami’s own Live In Color, that he wanted to take
dancing seriously. Now living in Los Angeles, Jian has been able to
work with some of today’s most prestigious choreographers such as
Brian Friedman, Kevin Maher, Dave Scott and has also danced behind
artists including Pussycat Dolls, Ne-Yo, Trina, Jackie-O, and Uncle
Luke. He is one of Monsters of Hip Hop inaugural cast members and
is now setting his mark as a teacher/choreographer. With his well
seasoned style, he’s being sought after by dancers all over.
