LAURA FREMONT
Ballet
Laura is Director/Owner of
Pacific Studio for Dance as well as faculty for EDGE Performing Arts Center
and Glendale College Education Program. Laura is known in the dance
community as a technician, bringing a versatile background in Ballet, Jazz,
Modern (Graham technique), and Theatre Dance (Cole technique).
Laura has served as host
and adjudicator for L.A. Danceforce, has adjudicated for the Annual
Choreography Media Awards for SAG, Dream Team Dance Festival throughout
Canada, and New Zealand’s American Jazz Dance Affiliation International
syllabus. Laura has lectured at universities in California on training
dancers and the business of dance.
Laura has produced and
choreographed for Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Carmel Arts Festival, Fairbanks
Cultural Arts Festival, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Celebrate National
Dance Week, Hollywood’s Industry Showcase, and numerous Independent films
with original and recreated ballets, contemporary concerts, and musical
theatre workshops. Other choreographic credits include Center Stage 2,
Swarovski Crystal,The Richard Simmons Show, and LA’s Morning Show,
industrials for Sotheby’s and Shiseido.
Laura has performed in
film, television, and on stage. She has most recently been seen in The
Muppets, Friends with Benefits, Fox TV’s Bones “Witch in
the Wardrobe,” Did You Hear About The Morgans and An American
Carol. She has toured with Broadway’s original repertory company, the
world acclaimed AMERICAN DANCEMACHINE.
Laura teaches master
classes throughout the United States, New Zealand, Australia and Canada.
