Carol is a Founder, Principal and
Officer for L.A. DanceForce, Inc. (1992-present), the parent
corporation for EDGE and LADF Workshop and Competition and has
been involved in the direction and operation of the
corporation. Carol was the Tour Manager for the LADF Workshop
and Competition (1989-2010) and coordinated the U.S. and
Canadian venues, convention services and transportation as well
as performing on-site management for the events. Carol is a
Director at EDGE (1992-present) and is an Advisor to the
Professional Training Program (1992-present). She is also a
Founder and Officer of the non-profit dance advocacy corporation
The Dance Fund (2005-present).
Carol began teaching intermediate
and advanced jazz and turns technique in Los Angeles in 1970 for
Steven Peck and Roland Dupree. She instructed at Dupree Dance
Academy (1975-1986), L.A. Dance Academy (1986-1992) and EDGE
(1992-present) where she continues to teach for the Professional
Program and fill-in open turns classes. On tour she has taught
for Dupree Dance Expo (1983-1987) and LADF (1989-2002) and has
instructed master classes and adjudicated in the U.S., Canada
and New Zealand. She has been a coach and movement director to
celebrities including Cyd Charisse, Burt Lancaster, Kirk
Douglas, Farrah Fawcett and Carol Mayo Jenkins.
Carol has worked for NBC, ABC and
CBS performing on Laugh In, the Don Rickles Special,
the Carroll O'Connor Special, Tony Orlando and Dawn,
The Palace, Hollywood Diamond Jubilee and a
special for Star Wars among others. She has
appeared as an actress on the television shows Airwolf,
The Bob Newhart Show, The Young and The Restless,
Divorce Court, Simon and Simon, and the NBC Movie
of the Week, Beverly Hills Madam, starring Faye Dunaway
and Louis Jourdan. She performed as a dancer on Friends
for the Chandler and Monica Wedding Episode and in
commercials for Jack in the Box and eBay, as well as in the
films Did You Hear About the Morgans, Jackass
II, The Sweetest Thing, Country Bears and
Pennies from Heaven.
Carol has choreographed well over
forty domestic and foreign commercials that have included brand
names such as Sanka, TWA Airlines and Nissan. For television
Carol has choreographed special episodes of the Young and the
Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful as well as
numerous other episodic and special event programs. Her
choreography and direction for live performances and stage
productions has been recognized and acclaimed in magazines and
newspapers for shows she choreographed and directed in San
Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Reno and Japan.
